Artist Bio
With a background in
psychology and communications, my art is a study of relationships between
people and the internal relationships with ones own self.
I make figurative sculpture
in clay and wax, then cast the piece in bronze. My subjects range from table top figurative pieces to bells and
bowls for home and garden. Occasionally I will try an abstract; an object unto
itself. No meaning. No explanation. I can put my unexamined, unnamed feelings
directly into the clay.
If a piece seems worthy, I
cast it into bronze, using a lost wax casting process that has been used for
centuries. While bronze remains my focus, I also sculpt in other mediums such
as copper and cast stone.
